Preparation Preparing Surfaces for Hemway Premium Light Grey Ready-Mixed Grout Before starting, make sure all tiling surfaces are dry, clean, and free from dust or grease. Additionally, if you are working with very porous surfaces, apply an acrylic primer and allow it to dry completely. For timber or wood surfaces exposed to water contact, treat them with a water-resistant sealer. It is also essential to test the grout on a sample tile to avoid staining, particularly with satin, matte, or metallic finishes. Next, bed the tiles firmly into the adhesive for full contact. Insert plastic spacers between the tiles to form grout lines. If necessary, support tiles during the initial drying period. Immediately remove excess adhesive from the tiles with a damp cloth. Let the tiles set for 24 hours, or 48 hours for non-porous surfaces.
