The base plate is equipped with two sockets in which the rod can be securely fastened either in the middle or on the edge of the base plate. At 59 cm long, the retort stand's rod also offers plenty of scope in height. The boss head, as a mounting for the gripper arm, can be securely attached to rods with a diameter of up to 16 mm. The three stand clamps have a maximum span of 50, 70 and 85 mm so they can grip most objects or containers used in a laboratory. The clamp stand set's gripping fingers are coated with rubber, which is impervious to chemicals and prevents slipping. The angled shape of the gripping arm is especially good for glass containers—whether test tubes or Erlenmeyer flasks.
