The Vintage is the choice of an exceptional year, from which the Grands Crus of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are selected to enter the blend of a future Grand Siècle iteration. This is a rare and exceptional wine that expresses the character of the vintage in the Laurent-Perrier style. The 2008 vintage was characterised by a cold but not harsh Winter and a dull, rainy Spring. The harvest began in mid-September with cool, dry weather, thus preserving the best growing conditions for the vines with perfect grapes and excellent Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
