About the author: Nadia Shireen is a British author and illustrator who has gained recognition for her whimsical and charming children's books. She has written and illustrated several picture books, including Good Little Wolf, The Bumblebear, and the Grimwood series. Her work has been celebrated for its humour, heart, and distinctive illustrations. Nadia Shireen was born in 1983 in London, England. Shireen was always drawn to art and storytelling, and she spent much of her childhood reading and drawing. She attended the University of Brighton, where she earned a degree in illustration. While at university, she developed her unique style, which combines bold, bright colours with expressive characters and whimsical details. After completing her studies, Shireen worked as a freelance illustrator for several years, creating illustrations for a variety of publications and projects. She also began to develop her own stories, drawing on her love of fairy tales and folklore for inspiration. Her first picture book, Good Little Wolf, was published in 2011. The book tells the story of a young wolf who is sent out into the world to prove himself by catching a little girl. However, when he meets the girl, he realizes that she is not what he expected, and the two become friends. Good Little Wolf was a critical and commercial success, earning Shireen a nomination for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize and a spot on the shortlist for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize.
