100 per cent Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, from the estate's vineyards in Loreto Aprutino, located about 300 metres above sea level. It is called Pinciaie and is a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC Riserva. The name is inspired by the ancient forms of construction typical of Abruzzo's pastoral communities: the Pinciaie, in fact. This Montepulciano 'Cru' is vinified in steel vats and then aged for 12 months in French oak barriques. Subsequent resting for over a year in the bottle allows the wine to achieve a perfect balance between each of its components. In the mouth, blackberry and black cherry dominate, with notes of hazelnut and coffee. Good today, it is a wine capable of evolving well in the cellar even for 10 years. Ideal with red meats, game, roast lamb and mature sheep's cheese. ...
