A princely vine of central Italy, Sangiovese is also the absolute protagonist of this red wine. Grapes from the Chieti area, in vineyards with vines of an average age of 20 years. We are about 300 metres above sea level. The name, Salto, is inspired by one of the most renowned lakes in central Italy. Terre di Chieti IGT, the wine is produced from a traditional, temperature-controlled fermentation in steel vats. At the end of vinification, Salto rests for about 3 months in Slovenian oak barrels followed by a short bottle ageing. In the glass it is a beautiful purplish colour, with notes of ripe red berries on the nose. In the mouth, however, it proves particularly persistent, thanks also to the delicate spiciness that emerges as the minutes pass.
