Apulia: land of sun, sea and wind. Simply perfect conditions for optimal ripening of Primitivo. Here, the land is characterised by medium-deep soils on layers of limestone rock, which give the wine a unique minerality. An indigenous Apulian grape, the Primitivo used in the production of this wine comes from 16-year-old vines, trained by the spurred cordon system. Mature vines capable of giving the wine exceptional structure and complexity. Harvesting is manual, in August, when the grapes reach perfect ripeness. This is followed by a fermentation with maceration for 10 days that brings out the aromas and flavours of the base variety. An ageing of 6 months on fine lees in steel tanks completes the process, giving the wine softness and complexity. Quota 29 presents itself in the glass of a beautiful intense ruby red colour with violet reflections. The nose reveals an enveloping bouquet of red fruits, such as black cherry, cherry and plum. Then notes of dark chocolate and black pepper. In the mouth, however, it is warm, round and solidly structured, with perfectly blended tannins and a lingering liquorice finish.
