This Irpinia Aglianico DOC proposed by Feudi di San Gregorio is a "must have" for all lovers of good drinking. A red of great character and personality, Serpico is the result of a pure Aglianico vinification from the historic 'Dal Re' vineyard. A structured red, as mentioned, that matures for a minimum of 18 months in French oak barriques and medium toasted 50 hectolitre barrels before meeting the bottle. A long wait that goes on for at least another year, the time needed for Serpico to refine 'just right' in the bottle, in the shelter of the beautiful Irpinian cellar. Ruby red in colour, its bouquet is complex and clearly recalls cherry jam, sweet spices, liquorice, coffee and cocoa. Balanced in the mouth, thanks to the distinct minerality that balances the rich body.
