Rosso Piceno is one of the oldest appellations in the Marche region and extends mainly in the provinces of Ascoli Piceno and Macerata. The typical composition of Rosso Piceno DOC sees a predominance of the Montepulciano vine, often combined with Sangiovese, which contributes elegance and freshness to the wine. The production area offers hilly clay and limestone soils, which, combined with the mild climate, create ideal conditions for the cultivation of these vines and the production of wines with great character and personality. Chapter 0, Rosso Piceno DOC, is the fine interpretation of this wine given by the Societì Cooperativa Cantina dei Colli Ripani. A red that expresses all the authenticity and winemaking tradition of the area. The grapes in this case come from the municipality of Ripatransone and neighbouring areas. At the winery, the grapes are carefully selected by the contributing members. Processing involves a long maceration phase, useful for extracting colour, tannins and aromas. Then deléstage and soft pressing. The result is a red wine characterised by an intense and brilliant ruby colour. On the nose, the bouquet is rich, dominated by hints of red fruits such as cherries and plums, and enriched by delicate floral notes.
