Priamo, Salento Rosso IGT is one of the good local products offered by Cantina Due Palme. It comes from a blend of typical grapes of the region, Nero di Troia and Malvasia Nera. Nero di Troia in particular is an autochthonous vine characterised by a particularly intense ruby red colour, so dark that it almost seems "black". It is a wine of ancient Greek origins, like Priam, according to mythology, warrior king of the city of Troy. The combination with Malvasia Nera gives it roundness and elegance. The grapes are harvested late and left to macerate in horizontal rotary fermenters. After vinification, then, for the delicate ageing phase, the wine is placed in French oak barriques for a period of at least 6 months. Characterized by a beautiful intense ruby red colour, Priamo has intense aromas that recall red berries, cherries and morello cherries. In the mouth, however, the most evident characteristic of this Priamo is the perfect balance between all its components and the rich notes of ripe fruit.
