Its name is Gramelot, and it is a Marche white IGT proposed by Cantine di Castignano. The result of a complex blend of grapes typical of central Italy, this Gramelot is made from 40% Trebbiano, with equal parts Pecorino, Passerina and Verdicchio. A fine and elegant white, this Gramelot matures in oak barrels that emphasise its subtle aromas. In the mouth it is intense and full of suggestions of ripe fruit and almond blossom. Soft, it has pleasant sensations of tropical fruits, peach in syrup and pineapple. A pleasantly territorial wine, this white seems to have been born to accompany the fish dishes of typical Mediterranean cuisine.
