Corniolo is an interesting red wine proposed by Duca della Corgna. Colli del Trasimeno Rosso, comes from a blend of Sangiovese in clear majority, with 20% of Trasimeno Gamay, and about 10% of Cabernet Sauvignon. An important and gratifying wine that matures for about 12 months in French oak barrels located in the historic cellars of the sixteenth century palace of the Duca della Corgna in Cittì della Pieve. In the glass it has a beautiful deep ruby red colour with violet hues. The nose is broad and fine, pleasantly fruity, with a nice spice to make it even more intriguing. In the mouth it is dry, full and elegant. The previously perceived fruit returns, always accompanied by a subtle sweet spice.
