Ladies and gentlemen, here is the true nobility of Sangiovese, the symbolic vine of the Tuscan region. It takes more than three years, between maturation in wood and refinement in the bottle, to achieve the finesse of this Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, proposed by Vecchia Cantina di Montepulciano, one of the most representative wineries in the area. 100% Sangiovese, after arriving at the winery the grapes are immediately sent for processing, which involves fermentation and maceration for at least 20 days at a controlled temperature. At the end of this phase, the wine is passed into Slavonian oak barrels, where it remains for about two years in slow maturation. Then, after bottling, the wine is left to rest in the cellar for at least another 12 months before being put on the market. Intense ruby red in colour with garnet highlights, this traditional Tuscan red wine has clean aromas of red fruits, accompanied by the characteristic tones of ageing in wood, leather and tobacco. In the mouth, it reveals a well-structured wine, with important but very fine tannins and a long finish. This is the wine to open when the table is animated by a nice grill.
