While in Tuscany red wine is mainly combined with Sangiovese, the Maremma is an exception. Here many good wines are produced from international grapes, such as this Cabernet Terre More from the Ammiraglia di Frescobaldi estate. Cabernet Sauvignon base with a small addition of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah, harvested by hand, for a wine of absolute pleasantness. The processing is in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. 13 days' maceration in contact with the skins, then malolactic fermentation and aging for 12 months in barriques for the second and third time. In the glass it is a beautiful deep ruby red colour. On the nose fruity hints of blackberry, plum and currant, then notes of vanilla and liquorice.
