Were it not for the clear indication Umbria IGT on the label, this Terre di Ala could easily be mistaken for an elegant white from the Bordeaux region of France. Like the wines from that area, in fact, this Umbrian white is made from Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Vinified with precision and care, the wine finishes its transformation with a period of ageing in stainless steel tanks for about 5 months. Then, after bottling, the wine returns to the cellar for a further rest period of about 2 months before being put on sale. One then discovers a beautiful wine characterised by a straw-yellow colour. The nose is elegant, with easy recognition of the aromas typical of Sauvignon Blanc, accompanied by hints of white flowers and citrus notes brought by the Sémillon. In the mouth, it is pleasantly mineral, savoury and balanced. An elegant white, it is characterised by the right acidity and long persistence. Excellent as an aperitif, this Terre di Ala goes perfectly with pasta and risotto dishes, but also with white meat and tasty fish. Versatility, that's for sure, is not lacking. ...
