Think of Piedmont, and in particular the Roero region, and you necessarily imagine elegant Nebbiolo-based wines, perhaps matured for a long time in wooden barrels of various capacities. The Roero, however, is also (and for some, above all) a land of fabulous white wines, the result of the processing of a grape variety, Arneis, which is perfectly adapted to these parts. Well supported by a good alcohol content, this Roero Arneis amazes with its savoury and complex finish. Excellent as an aperitif, this interesting local white wine is a good accompaniment to delicate fish dishes. Excellent, for example, with a tasty pasta allo scoglio, in white or even in red. ...
