Terre Carsiche "Padre Abate" Locorotondo DOC Superiore 2022 - Country: Italy - Capacity: 0.75

Locorotondo DOC Superiore, Padre Abate is one of the most interesting wines produced by the Terrecarsiche1939 winery. 'Apulian to the core', this white wine comes from the clay soil of the Valle d'Itria, where the winery cultivates historic vineyards of Verdeca and Bianco d'Alessano, typical vines of the region. We are located at about 400/450 metres above sea level and the vines are still, in part, trained using the traditional bush system, ideal for producing quality, small quantities. Harvesting, in this case strictly by hand, takes place in the second half of September, after the grapes have had a chance to ripen slowly under the warm sun of our beautiful south. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, the wine continues its journey before meeting the bottle for the final resting phase before reaching the shelves. Greenish yellow in colour, from the very first moment it is easy to grasp a delicate bouquet, with intense hints of Mediterranean scrub and fresh flowers. In the mouth, it is pleasantly dry, fresh and delicate. Perfect as an aperitif, this Apulian white is suitable for accompanying aperitifs and fish dishes. Impossible to be disappointed. ...
