Journey to the heart of the Marche region, between the Adriatic Sea and the Apennines. This is where the Casalfarneto winery is located, offering this 8 Borghi, from a blend of grapes: Montepulciano (60%), Merlot (25%), Cabernet Sauvignon (25%). The use of different varieties allows the winemaker to create a complex and articulated wine, with aromas and flavours that complement each other. The Montepulciano, in particular, provides structure and body, well supported by the trio of French grapes, which add softness, elegance and a delicate spicy finish. In this case, the grapes are harvested late to favour the concentration of sugars and aromas. Vinification takes place with very long macerations to extract the maximum amount of colouring and polyphenolic substances from the skins. In the 8 Borghi di Casalfarneto glass, it has a beautiful intense purple-red colour with violet reflections. The nose offers a complex and enveloping bouquet of ripe red fruits such as marasca cherry, blackberry and plum, enriched by spicy notes of leather, vanilla and chocolate. In the mouth it is warm, full and fruity, with soft tannins and a lingering finish. Its structure and complexity make it a perfect wine to accompany important meat dishes and mature cheeses. ...
